The four channel d&b D80 amplifier is a high power density amplifier with configurations for all d&b loudspeakers and a linear mode. It has user definable signal delay capability of up to 10s which can be applied independently to each channel and also two 16-band equalizers providing optional parametric, asymmetric, shelving or notch filtering.
The equal ratio of signal input to amplifier output channels increases the application flexibility particularly for monitor, frontfill or effect channel use.
A colour TFT touchscreen provides quick access to the menu structure, whilst the rotary encoder can be used for fine adjustment.
The D80's integrated LoadMatch function enables the electrical compensation of speaker cable properties, without the need for an extra conductor, resulting in an increased accuracy of audio reproduction over a bandwidth of up to 20kHz - preserving the tonal balance when cable lengths of up to 70m are used. The D80 also incorporates Class D amplifiers with active Power Factor Corection (PFC) and maintains a stable output when used with weak or unstable mains supplies.
An NL8 provides all outputs on a single connector, while individual outputs are optionally NL4 or EP5 connectors. RJ45 and etherCon connectors enable access to the d&b Remote network via CAN-bus and OCA/AES70 via Ethernet respectively.
